Anti-wrinkle injections are commonly referred to as ‘Botox’ injections. Small amounts of toxin is injected Ito the muscle to allow it to relax, therefore smoothing out lines and wrinkles. Commonly use around the eyes, forehead and eyebrows.
Anti wrinkle injections will treat dynamic lines- those that are there during expression. However they won’t eliminate static lines- those that are present at rest, which is why people often have this treatment to prevent the formation of wrinkles. In this case Botox will help but you may need to have a multi treatment approach to target deeper lines, like dermal filler or treatments to improve skin quality, like hydrafacial or chemical peels.
